I am a qualitative sociologist who uses ethnography, narrative analysis, and historical methods in my work. My empirical research focuses on the sociology of culture, work and occupations, environment, inequality, and the family, while my social theory and cultural criticism contribute to conversations about art, labor, and social change. As an educator, I practice critical, problem-posing, and arts-based pedagogies in the classroom.
